Built Against the Tide – Coastal Defence at Aberaeron

I spent two days in Aberaeron, Wales, documenting BAM’s coastal defence project through photography and film. The aim was to capture the scale and precision of the work being carried out along this dramatic stretch of coastline. From early-morning light over the sea walls to heavy machinery at work against the backdrop of the Irish Sea, I focused on blending technical detail with a sense of place. It was a rewarding opportunity to visually tell the story of infrastructure that’s built to protect and last.
